CHASE AND SARAH MORRILL purchased the Waters Run property in 2025. As a lifelong central-Mainer and leader of TV’s Maine Cabin Masters, Chase is always on the lookout for a great renovation opportunity. He was familiar with the property and the surrounding former Woolworth estate, so when the current B & B went up for sale, he had to take a look. Once he showed it to Sarah, there was no turning back! Fortunately, as they say in construction, the bones were good, and in this case they were pretty exceptional. And, for the renovations the property did need, Chase and Sarah knew they could “call the guys!” The Maine Cabin Masters’ crew started work on Waters Run in the fall with a tight timeline to get the B & B open for the start of Maine’s summer tourist season.

The design inspiration for Waters Run Bed and Breakfast is really the history and spirit of the property itself. Guests at Waters Run are immediately welcomed by a blend of modern transitional styling and upcycled farmhouse decor. Common spaces are layered and multi-functional, feeling fancy but never fussy, styled but incredibly comfortable. We have tried to follow the cues that the house has given us, blending all the modern comforts of a cozy farmhouse, with nostalgia for its high-society past. There is a word in The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows – anemoia – which means a wistful longing for a place or time you have not been. Our design is driven by this desire to reconnect with all the joys, hopes and sorrows of the lives that echo in this place. Our goal is to be effortlessly modern, but also feel like you are stepping back in time to when socialites visited the house from around the country, and horses ran along the lakeside.

MAINE CABIN MASTERS is a well-loved renovation show that follows Chase Morrill, his sister Ashley, her husband Ryan, and their tight-knit crew as they bring new life to aging Maine camps while preserving the state’s rustic charm and traditions. Known for their creativity and heartfelt approach to craftsmanship, the team has taken on projects that reach beyond the Maine woods—including a memorable renovation in Italy, where Sarah and Chase transformed a historic home with the same blend of practical skill and artistic vision that fans love. The project showcased their ability to honor local character while introducing thoughtful updates, proving that their renovation style translates beautifully no matter the setting.
